Chetan Kumar is a very talent actor who shot to fame with Aa Dingalu in Kannada and also starred in Birugaali. He has now got a chance to work with Puneeth Rajkumar in his next film titled Ram.
He is also acting in his upcoming movie Suryakanthi opposite Regina . When asked, Chetan said that it was his dream come true; he feels very happy to work with Puneeth Rajkumar.
Actor Puneeth said he has never seen any newcomer as professional as Chetan. Chetan is truly excited to share screen space with Puneeth Rajkumar and hopes this would be his passport to success.
The Hindu news: Chethan, the hero of the latest Kannada film “Aa Dinagalu”, is quite a puzzle in his real life. After listening to his fluent and impeccable Kannada, one will find it hard to believe that he was born and brought up in the U.S. He did not learn all of it in the past two years or so that he has been staying in Karnataka. “I love Kannada literature and movies. I love Kannada and that has made me learn it fast. I am Kannadiga”, he declares. He deliberately kept his interest in the language alive while in the U.S. His goal now is : “To speak Kannada like autorickshaw drivers do.” He has a Mangalore connection too. Mr. Chethan, who claims to have acted with legendary Rajkumar on stage, became a hero by accident; he came to Karnataka for completing his doctorate degree in “Comparative study in Dramatics” but started up as a hero. He has a bachelor degree from the national school of drama from U.S. About the film, he said “I loved the story at the first hearing itself, so I signed it. It is about an individual’s struggle to get his love.”
His theatre experience had helped him achieve a comfort-level in the movie. “On stage, you don’t have the close up’s and zoom-out shoots,” he says.
