Ganesh, popularly called as “Comedy Time Ganesh” or “Golden Star Ganesh” is a Kannada language film actor. He shot to popularity with 2007 blockbuster Mungaru Male which is one of the biggest hits in South Indian cinema with earnings crossing rs. 75 crores. He married his maternal relative Shilpa Barkur on February 11, 2008.

Vinu of “yadva-tadva” was a farst character that Ganesha played Television career.He has also acted in popular serial “vaTaara” directed by NagatihaLLi Chandrashekar.

Golden Star Ganesh first film as a lead role was Chellata which was a moderate success which ran upto 125 days in some theatres. In this film no other actress showed interest to act against him. Rekha of Chitra fame, who had already acted in quite a few film agreed to act.

Mungaaru Male his second film expected to garner Rs. 60 crores at the box office .The film also released with 150 prints all over Karnataka .It is the only film that is running to packed houses on weekdays in PVR Multiplex for more than 200 days.It is running 84 shows per day in Bangalore. In remaining parts of Karnataka it is shown 504 times a day ever since the release.

His third film is Hudugata, fourth Cheluvina Chithara, fifth Aramane, sixth Gali pata (with Yograj Bhat).

Kannada actor Ganesh weds secretly

Pressurised by threatening calls and SMS messages from many of his female fans, Kannada actor ‘Golden Star’ Ganesh advanced his wedding date to February 11. Many female fans even sent suicide threats in front of his ancestral home in Adakamaranahalli village, 30 km from Bangalore.
The wedding ceremony was held between 9 pm and 11 pm at the bride Shilpa’s home in JP Nagar, a suburb in Bangalore.

Shilpa, who has completed a course in interior designing, did her studies in Dubai. She hails from Barkir near the Brahmavar town in the temple district of Udupi. Her father is a businessman settled in Dubai.

“Now, I am married to Shilpa. I want my friends and well wishers to forgive me for this sudden decision,” Ganesh said.
